Nan Sanders
Nan Sanders is co-founder of the Sculpture Garden, inspired by the vision of her friend, the late Pam Mathews. The Sanders Family is very grateful to the talented team that assists them in fulfilling this dream.
Ron Koehler
Ron Koehler is a sculptor and former chair of the Department of Art at Delta State University, retiring after 35 years of service. He was one of the original members of the Public Art and Landscape Advisory Committee (PAL) in 2000. His contributions span from being a liaison to each sculptor to placement and installation.
Dr. Myrtis Tabb
Myrtis Tabb is the retired Associate Vice President of Finance – Administration at Delta State University. As Chair of the committee, she provides leadership to organize and focus the work of the committee. She assists in planning and developing the long range goals with the committee members to accomplish the work plan for the Sculpture Garden.
Lawson King
Lawson King is an artist from Indianola, MS. He works primarily in sculpture, creating works for public places - because art is for everyone. After earning his BFA in Sculpture at Delta State University, he went up to the Midwest to work with sculptor Ray Katz. In 2020 he received an Artist Fellowship from Mississippi Arts Commission. Lawson is currently an artist in resident at Coahoma Collective in Clarksdale, MS and an adjunct professor of sculpture at his alma mater, Delta State University.
Laura Howell
Laura Howell serves as the Executive Director of the Bologna Performing Arts Center, located just behind the Sculpture Garden, and is responsible for planning and coordinating events in the Garden throughout the year, in addition to serving as the committee’s secretary.
Lauren Powell
Lauren Powell has worked for over 10 years in the creative design industry in Austin, Texas. As a recent transplant to Cleveland, she is excited to continue her love for the arts serving as a committee member for the Sculpture Garden. Lauren serves as the Executive Director of the Delta Arts Alliance.
